❃ Striding across the ancient landscapes of Oligocene Eurasia, Paraceratherium was a colossal hornless relative of modern rhinoceroses and one of the largest terrestrial mammals known from the fossil record. Its towering legs, elongated neck, enormous body, and long skull created a silhouette unlike that of any living rhinoceros. Fossils show that giant rhinos of this lineage were especially widespread across Asia, with remains also extending into parts of Europe.
❃ Its extraordinary height transformed the way it could feed. With its elevated head and flexible neck, Paraceratherium was adapted for browsing vegetation above the ground, while its elongated skull and specialized front teeth helped it gather plant material. Unlike living rhinoceroses, it carried no prominent horn, giving this ancient giant a remarkably different appearance from its modern relatives.
❃ Paraceratherium lived during the Oligocene, roughly 34 to 23 million years ago, when much of Eurasia supported a changing mixture of woodland and more open habitats. One exceptionally preserved species, Paraceratherium linxiaense, lived around 26.5 million years ago in what is now northwestern China. Its fossils preserve a glimpse of an evolutionary experiment in extreme body size—a gigantic browser whose descendants vanished long before the modern rhinoceroses appeared.

2. Give it a good fluff — gently knead the body and work the limbs, wings, ears, or tail to redistribute the filling.
3. Let it breathe. Most plush regain their full shape within 1–3 days, while larger or denser designs can take up to a week.
4. Smooth any flattened or creased fur with your fingers or a soft brush as it fluffs back up.
5. Want to speed things up? Use a hairdryer on low, warm heat, held about 20cm away. Keep it moving and use short bursts between fluffs. Never use high heat.
