Its rounded golden-yellow bell, surrounded by a pale creamy rim, gives it an uncanny resemblance to a perfectly cooked fried egg. Beneath the bell hangs a cluster of short, frilled oral arms, creating a soft, flowing silhouette as the jellyfish moves gently with the currents.

❃ Unlike fish, jellyfish have no bones, heart, or brain, relying instead on a simple nerve network to sense their surroundings. The fried egg jellyfish pulses its bell rhythmically to move through the water, while its trailing oral arms help capture small plankton and other drifting food. Though its appearance is delicate, specialized stinging cells allow it to subdue tiny prey and defend itself in the open sea.

2. Give it a good fluff — gently knead the body and work the limbs, wings, ears, or tail to redistribute the filling.

3. Let it breathe. Most plush regain their full shape within 1–3 days, while larger or denser designs can take up to a week.

4. Smooth any flattened or creased fur with your fingers or a soft brush as it fluffs back up.

5. Want to speed things up? Use a hairdryer on low, warm heat, held about 20cm away. Keep it moving and use short bursts between fluffs. Never use high heat.
