❃ Gliding through the ancient seas of the Jurassic Period, the plesiosaurus was a remarkable marine reptile with a long neck, compact body, small head, and four powerful paddle-like flippers. Its unusual proportions gave it a silhouette unlike almost anything alive today, with the slender neck stretching forward from a streamlined body and the four limbs adapted for life beneath the waves. Though often mistaken for a dinosaur, the plesiosaurus belonged to an entirely different group of reptiles that conquered the oceans while dinosaurs dominated the land.
❃ Those four broad flippers were its key to movement, working together to propel the animal through the water with powerful strokes. Its long neck may have helped it approach prey from different angles while keeping its body relatively stable, and its jaws were lined with numerous sharp teeth suited to catching fish and other small marine animals. Fossil evidence suggests that plesiosaurs were well adapted to an aquatic lifestyle, spending their lives in the sea rather than returning to land like many other marine reptiles.

They survived for more than a hundred million years before disappearing during the end-Cretaceous extinction event. Bringing it back to form:
1. Remove it from the packaging as soon as it arrives — don’t leave it packed.
2. Give it a good fluff — gently knead the body and work the limbs, wings, ears, or tail to redistribute the filling.
3. Let it breathe. Most plush regain their full shape within 1–3 days, while larger or denser designs can take up to a week.
4. Smooth any flattened or creased fur with your fingers or a soft brush as it fluffs back up.
5. Want to speed things up? Use a hairdryer on low, warm heat, held about 20cm away. Keep it moving and use short bursts between fluffs. Never use high heat.
